Job Position Overview:

Northern Peak HR is seeking a Finance Clerk / Office Administrator on behalf of a valued client. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting various administrative tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day Accounts Payable Activities:
    • Process invoices.
    • Maintain accurate recurring payable schedule.
    • Maintain accurate records
  • Maintain day to day Account Receivables:
    • Process and document accounts receivable billings
  • Complete various month-end and year-end reconciliations
  • Maintains financial records carefully and precisely.
  • Enters accurate information into accounting systems spreadsheets.
  • Organizes and reports on financial information to document payment histories and assist with sound financial accounting.
  • Compiles financial spreadsheets, reports, statements, and other documents, as needed.
  • Assists with administrative tasks such as compiling financial information, data entry, filing, and answering phone calls and emails.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of Finance/ Accounting/ bookkeeping experience
  • Completed post-secondary diploma or degree in a relevant or related field. (i.e. Finance, Accounting, etc)
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with accounting software (Sage, SAP, Xero, Intuit, Payment Evolution, etc)
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, detail and confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, self starter, initiative required to act under minimal supervision.
  • Strong planning skills and highly organized.
