Job Position Overview:
Northern Peak HR is seeking a Finance Clerk / Office Administrator on behalf of a valued client. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting various administrative tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day Accounts Payable Activities:
- Process invoices.
- Maintain accurate recurring payable schedule.
- Maintain accurate records
- Maintain day to day Account Receivables:
- Process and document accounts receivable billings
- Complete various month-end and year-end reconciliations
- Maintains financial records carefully and precisely.
- Enters accurate information into accounting systems spreadsheets.
- Organizes and reports on financial information to document payment histories and assist with sound financial accounting.
- Compiles financial spreadsheets, reports, statements, and other documents, as needed.
- Assists with administrative tasks such as compiling financial information, data entry, filing, and answering phone calls and emails.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of Finance/ Accounting/ bookkeeping experience
- Completed post-secondary diploma or degree in a relevant or related field. (i.e. Finance, Accounting, etc)
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with accounting software (Sage, SAP, Xero, Intuit, Payment Evolution, etc)
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, detail and confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, self starter, initiative required to act under minimal supervision.
- Strong planning skills and highly organized.
