Pro Shop Associate Position Summary:

We are seeking friendly, outgoing, and detail-oriented individuals to join our Pro Shop team at our golf and country club. As a Pro Shop Associate, you’ll help contribute to a memorable golf experience by assisting members and guests in the back shop and front shop. You’ll be part of a dynamic and supportive team, working together to ensure smooth operations in both retail and equipment areas. Whether you’re helping a guest pick out new gear or preparing golf carts, this role offers a fun and fast-paced environment that’s perfect for anyone looking for a rewarding summer job.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests, assisting with product selection, golf equipment needs, and general inquiries.
  • Handle retail transactions, operate the point-of-sale system, and process payments accurately.
  • Assist with inventory control by stocking shelves, managing product displays, and keeping the Pro Shop organized.
  • Ensure golf carts are clean, well-maintained, and ready for use, helping prepare and load carts for players.
  • Work as part of a team to keep both the front shop and back shop running smoothly, with attention to detail and high standards of service.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining golf events, tournaments, and special promotions.
  • Ensure all products are priced correctly and that the Pro Shop is presentable at all times.
Required Qualifications:
Education/ Experience:
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is an asset.
  • Interest or background in golf is preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license (for back shop duties, such as cart handling).
Skills/ Abilities:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with members, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to work efficiently in both front and back shop settings.
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different roles, whether handling retail duties, managing inventory, or preparing carts for players.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds (e.g., golf bags, boxes of inventory).
  • Basic knowledge of golf equipment and apparel is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to follow all safety protocols and club policies
