M.F. Jones is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead and oversee the organization’s financial and accounting operations. Reporting to senior leadership, the Controller will manage all accounting procedures, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic financial decision-making. Moreover, this role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supervising payroll and remittances, and guiding a team responsible for accounts payable and receivable functions.
Above all, the Controller will strengthen internal controls, uphold financial integrity, and ensure the organization meets all provincial and federal compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Firstly, lead a team to maintain and oversee accounting policies and procedures
- In addition, oversee payroll and compliance with all government remittances
- Supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Likewise, oversee financial reporting, bank reconciliations, union remittances, and reconciliation of accounts
- Oversee and monitor reporting requirements
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation for all financial and accounting procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required
- In addition, minimum 3 years of accounting or finance experience
- Minimum 2 years of team supervision
- Furthermore, knowledge and experience complying with related provincial and federal regulations
- Strong understanding of CRA and WSIB program compliance is an asset
- Ability to utilize Sage 300 and similar software
- Also, demonstrated technical capacity in accounting procedures and financial management
- Excellent communication, attention to detail and technical skills
Compensation & Benefits as the Controller
- Salary: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
- In addition, comprehensive benefits package available after a 3-month probationary period.
