Job Position Overview:

As a Taxi Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations in a timely and efficient manner. You will represent our company as the first point of contact for many customers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safe Driving: Operate the taxi in a safe manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
2. Customer Service: Provide friendly, courteous and professional service to passengers always.
3. Route Planning: Determine the most efficient routes to reach passengers’ destinations, considering traffic, road closures and other factors.
4. Payment Handling: Collect fares, issue receipts and accurately handle cash and credit card transactions.
5. Cleanliness: Always keep the interior and exterior of the taxi clean and well maintained.
6. Communication: Maintain open communication with dispatchers end other drivers to coordinate pickups, drop offs and other logistics.
7. Problem Solving: Handle any passenger concerns or complaints in e professional and efficient manner.
8. Knowledge of Local Area: Have a good understanding of the local area, including major landmarks, hotels, airports and other points of interest.
9. Flexibility: Be Willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays to accommodate passenger demand.

Requirements:

1. Proof of age, must be 25 years of age
2. Class G Ontario Driver’s License
3. Three-year uncertified drivers abstract from Service Ontario
4. Level 2 (CRJMC) Criminal Records Check from the City of Thunder Bay Police Dept
