Hit the Road as a Delivery Driver with Fresh Market Foods

Fresh Market Foods is hiring a Delivery Driver to keep our community stocked, delivering groceries around town, out to the airport and Lac Seul, and also on the occasional day trip to nearby communities up to 300 km out. If you like being on the move, working independently, and being the friendly face customers see when their order shows up, this role is built for you.

About This Position
Salary: $23.00 – $26.00/hour

Job Type: Full-Time Permanent (40 hrs/week)

On the Road: Your Day-to-Day Duties

• Firstly, work with the Order Desk Team to deliver customer orders safely, accurately, and on time
• Subsequently, plan and follow delivery routes for maximum efficiency
• Deliver orders, accept payments, and handle customer questions with a smile
• In addition, perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues right away
• Load and unload cargo and groceries safely and efficiently
• Log delivery details: pick-ups, drop-offs, mileage, fuel, and any incidents
• Lastly, keep the company vehicle clean, stocked, and ready to roll

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent (or an equivalent mix of education and experience)
• Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean driving record
• At least 1 year of delivery or driving experience
• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment
• Furthermore, strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of traffic regulations, safe driving, and route planning
• Availability for early mornings, plus evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Finally, basic computer or handheld device skills are an asset; French is an asset
