Position Summary
The Community Support Team Case Worker supports youth and families through trauma-informed care and strong community connections. William W. Creighton Youth Services is hiring one full-time Case Worker in Kenora, Ontario, and one in Fort Frances, Ontario. In this role, you will apply trauma-informed practices with youth, families, staff, and partners to ensure safety, resilience, and growth. In addition, the Case Worker provides assessments, counselling, and group work that build well-being and healthier relationships. Moreover, you will collaborate with colleagues, partners, and service providers to deliver effective support. As a result, this position requires building trust, maintaining professional standards, and creating opportunities that help youth and families thrive.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Strong skills in assessment, counselling, and group work with adolescents and families.
- In addition, thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, agency policies, and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable access to a vehicle.
- Furthermore, a valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A B.S.W. with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience, and membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
- Alternatively, applicants with a Social Service Worker diploma plus two (2) years of experience will be considered.
- In addition, the agency also reviews candidates with other qualifications and relevant work experience.
Salary
As per collective agreement.
