Jesse Traer
Founder and Lead HR Consultant
Jesse Traer, Owner and HR Lead Consultant at Northern Peak HR, proudly calls Thunder Bay home, anchoring most of his adult life in the heart of the North West.
A graduate of the Human Resources Management program at Confederation College in 2002 as well as a recipient of the CHRP/CHRL designation in 2010, Jesse has dedicated nearly two decades to the Human Resources field. His journey has seen a steady ascent in responsibilities across diverse sectors, including Forestry, Manufacturing, and Health Care.
With over 12 years of experience in leadership roles, Jesse now embarks on a new chapter as a business owner. His mission is clear — to provide unwavering support and valuable resources to organizations seeking to elevate their performance or enhance operational efficiency. Jesse’s wealth of expertise is geared toward helping businesses thrive and navigate the path to success.
Meredith Seebeck
Human Resources Specialist
Meredith Seebeck, Human Resources Specialist and Northern Peak HR’s first employee since September 2022. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management and Services from Confederation College and brings seven years of experience in the HR field.
Meredith provides comprehensive HR services to established and growing organizations, specializing in key areas such as Health and Safety, Recruitment, Employee Relations, Policy and Procedure Management, and Organizational Development.
With a commitment to fostering positive workplace environments, Meredith combines her expertise with a passion for reshaping perceptions of HR through meaningful connections, a positive outlook, and a genuine sense of humor.


Aastha Malhotra
Marketing and Communications Specialist
Aastha Malhotra, our Marketing and Communications Specialist since September 2023, is the creative force behind Northern Peak HR’s branding and digital strategies. She manages our website, leads social media initiatives, creates compelling content, drives brand development, supports business growth, and represents the company at events across Northwestern Ontario. Aastha is also a reliable resource for clients, offering support for their unique Marketing and Communication needs.
Beyond her role at Northern Peak HR, Aastha is an active volunteer with organizations such as the Terry Fox Foundation, Dew Drop Inn, Fort William Rotary Club, George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation, and Lakehead University. She also serves as a taskforce member for SHIFT Thunder Bay, helping foster networks of young professionals in the region. With a passion for creative strategy and community engagement, Aastha brings fresh perspective, energy, and innovation to every project she undertakes.
Cheryl Leinonen
Human Resources Specialist
Cheryl Leinonen, Human Resources Specialist at Northern Peak HR, brings over a decade of diverse HR experience to the team. Cheryl supports our clients across all aspects of Human Resources, offering guidance that is rooted in both best practices and a deep understanding of people management.
She holds an Advanced Diploma in Human Resources from Confederation College and has served in HR leadership roles at Ka-Na-Chi-Hih Treatment Centre and Community Living Thunder Bay. Cheryl’s broad skill set, dedication to client service, and commitment to fostering healthy workplace environments make her a valuable asset to our clients and our team.


Kaitlyn Paradis
Health and Safety Specialist
Kaitlyn Paradis is our dedicated Health and Safety Specialist, passionate about fostering safe, healthy, and positive work environments. With a background in Kinesiology from Lakehead University and hands-on leadership experience in safety management, she brings both knowledge and practical insight to her role.
Kaitlyn takes a people-first approach, focusing on building strong, genuine connections with teams. She believes the most effective safety programs come from collaboration and shared responsibility across all levels of an organization. Whether she’s conducting inspections, leading safety initiatives, or guiding teams through compliance, Kaitlyn is known for her clear communication, practical solutions, and enthusiastic commitment to workplace well-being.
Mason Rojik
Health and Safety Specialist
Mason Rojik brings a unique blend of expertise in Health & Safety, Operations, and Computer Programming to his role. His multidisciplinary skill set enables him to deliver comprehensive safety support while driving innovation in virtual systems and workplace management tools.
Mason is passionate about helping clients enhance their safety culture while streamlining operational processes through modern, tech-driven solutions. As part of our growing Health & Safety team, Mason plays a key role in strengthening client safety programs and advancing Northern Peak HR’s commitment to superior service delivery.


Lindsay Fialka
Human Resources Specialist
Lindsay Fialka brings a thoughtful and dedicated approach to supporting our clients west of Thunder Bay. She completed the Human Resources Management program at Red River Polytechnic College and has built strong expertise through five years in administrative and HR roles.
Prior to joining Northern Peak HR, Lindsay served as the Human Resources Coordinator at New Gold Mine, gaining valuable experience in complex, fast-paced environments. Her strong organizational skills, client-centered mindset, and knowledge of human resources practices ensure that our clients receive tailored, effective support across all HR functions.
Chaneelia Goodwin
HR/ Recruitment Coordinator
Chaneelia Goodwin, HR/Recruitment Coordinator Intern since April 2025, supports Northern Peak HR’s recruitment operations by building connections with clients and candidates, managing the job board, and assisting with recruitment tracking and outreach.
A recent graduate from Lakehead University, Chaneelia holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Human Resource Management and a minor in Marketing. She brings prior experience as an HR Summer Student at Lakehead and a strong passion for recruitment and health & safety.
Chaneelia is excited to contribute her skills while supporting organizations and candidates across Northwestern Ontario.


Tianna Horton
Recruitment Specialist
Tianna Horton is a seasoned Recruitment Specialist with a strong foundation in Human Resources and a proven track record of placing top talent across a wide range of roles and industries. She holds a Bachelor of Administration in Human Resources from Lakehead University (2019) and a Human Resources & Labour Relations Degree from Athabasca University (2020). Since 2019, Tianna has recruited for corporate, non-profit, unionized, and skilled trades environments, filling full-time, part-time, and contract positions. Her industry experience spans education, accounting, finance, administration, manufacturing, and sales.
Prior to joining Northern Peak HR, she held HR roles at organizations including Contact North, MNP, and IG Wealth Management — bringing a well-rounded understanding of people and business operations. Passionate about pairing the right candidates with the right teams, Tianna is excited to help companies build stronger, more capable workforces across Northwestern Ontario.
