Summary:
Lac Seul is proud to announce the Transit Dispatcher for Lac Seul Transit. The Casual/Relief Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations for Lac Seul Transit. In addition, the Dispatcher is responsible for filling in for the full-time dispatcher, coordinating routes, maintaining driver communication, assisting riders, and responding to service disruptions. Moreover, this position requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; furthermore, post-secondary training in administration, transportation, or logistics is an asset.
- In addition, candidates should bring previous experience in dispatch, transportation services, or customer service.
- Moreover, you must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Above all, stay calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Additionally, you should feel comfortable using scheduling software, radios, and standard office computer programs.
- For this reason, strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- You must hold a valid driver’s license and provide a Clean Driver’s Abstract.
- Occasionally, be available to work evenings or weekends for community events.
- Provide a Clean Driver’s Abstract that shows a history of safe driving.
- Hold a valid Class G driver’s license (Class B or C with air brakes counts as an asset).
- Finally, earn or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
