Server Position Summary:

We’re looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as servers at our golf and country club. As part of our staff, you’ll play a key role in contributing to the overall experience of our guests, working together to ensure every aspect of the club is top-notch. We value teamwork and support all areas of the club to create a positive, dynamic, and fun environment. Major Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service, food and drink knowledge and communication while serving the food and beverages (alcoholic/non-alcoholic) to the guests and members visiting FWCC.
• Always check identification to ensure customers are of legal drinking age.
• Monitor customer behavior and using the Smart Serve skills as needed to maintain a safe environment.
• Receive payments, complete daily cash summary reports, ensure daily deposits and float are balanced.
• Managing inventory and the ability to record the counts of inventory daily as well stock inventory on each shift

Required Qualifications:

Education/ Experience:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Current certifications: Ontario Smart Serve
• Experience handling cash, preferably in a food and beverage setting
• Safe food handling certification along with previous experience working in a food service operation is an asset.

Skills/ Abilities:

• Ability to provide excellent customer service, serving the public in a polite and efficient manner.
• Respecting all members, guests, and employees who come to the FWCC.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Also, ability to answer questions about the beverages and food being sold.
• Ability to promptly clear and re-set table settings.
• Ability to lift 10–15-pound boxes containing non-alcoholic as well as alcoholic drinks.
• Ability to drive a motorized golf cart (Cart Server).
• Additionally, ability to preform other light duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting the clubhouse.
• Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act as it applies to this work.
• Working knowledge of WHMIS. Will be able to complete a WHMIS worksheet.
