Greens Crew Labourer Position Summary:

We are looking for hardworking and reliable individuals to join our Greens Crew at our golf and country club. As a Greens Crew Worker, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the golf course, ensuring the greens, fairways, and grounds are kept in pristine condition. Major Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and care for golf course turf, including mowing, edging, and trimming greens, fairways, and roughs.
  • Assist in the aeration, fertilization, and irrigation of the course to maintain healthy turf conditions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, ensuring tools and machines are in proper working condition.
  • Clean and maintain course equipment, ensuring proper storage and upkeep of machinery.
  • Assist in planting, seeding, and re-sodding as needed to maintain course quality and appearance.
  • Properly maintain and present all hazards, bunkers, and course features.
  • Monitor course conditions and report any concerns or issues to the Golf Course Superintendent.
  • Assist with course preparation for winter, and other seasonal duties as required.
  • Efficiently and safely complete all maintenance tasks while working as a part of the team.
Required Qualifications:
Education/ Experience:
  • Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or golf course maintenance is an asset.
  • Knowledge of turf care as well as maintenance techniques preferred but not required.
  • Experience with both maintenance equipment and machinery is an asset.
Skills/ Abilities:
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
  • Also, strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of course care.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as follow instructions from the Golf Course Superintendent and lead workers.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and carrying equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols, including the safe operation of machinery and use of fertilizers and pesticides.
  • Additionally, willingness to learn and adapt to changing tasks and work environments.
  • Lastly, ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
