Job Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Owner/Lead Consultant, the Human Resources & Safety Intern provides administrative support across all aspects of the organization and acts as an HR resource to clients when required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to clients on HR as well as safety functions as needed.
- Assist with employee recruitment and selection initiatives for clients, ensuring a smooth hiring process.
- Participate in field visits and site inspections for clients to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives, liaise with training providers, and manage schedules.
- Review and update company and client documents and policies to ensure they are current and compliant.
- Maintain accurate client documentation and records, ensuring confidentiality and organization.
- Conduct new employee orientation and provide administrative training for clients to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Schedule meetings and appointments, and take meeting minutes as required to keep records of discussions and decisions.
- Conduct data entry and manage client databases, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of information.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Completed diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in all tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Also, ability to work independently, take initiative, and act under minimal supervision.
- Strong planning skills and highly organized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Regular work attendance is imperative, and the ability to work flexible hours as required.
- Lastly, valid driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle may be required at times.
