Summary:

Lac Seul is proud to announce the Transit Bus Driver for Lac Seul Transit. The Transit Bus Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of passengers along designated routes within the community. In addition, the Bus Driver assists passengers as needed, maintains a clean and safe vehicle environment, and provides excellent customer service. Drivers are also responsible for daily vehicle inspections and end-of-day cleaning.

Qualifications:

• To begin with, candidates must hold a valid Class G Driver’s License with a Clean Driving Abstract.
• Moreover, they should be ready to complete the Bus Driving License Course if they do not already have a “B License”.
• If needed, candidates can access training in First Aid, Health & Safety, and WHMIS.
• In addition, candidates who have driven large vehicles or worked in passenger transport will bring valuable experience.
• Furthermore, applicants must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Above all, they should remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Likewise, familiarity with the community and local transit routes strengthens a candidate’s profile.
• Additionally, candidates must be physically able to perform required duties such as minor lifting and cleaning.
• As a result, their punctuality, reliability, and strong commitment to safety will support team success.
• Occasionally, they must be available to work evenings or weekends during community events.
• Finally, candidates should possess First Aid/CPR certification or be willing to obtain it.
