Summary:

Lac Seul is proud to announce the Transit Dispatcher for Lac Seul Transit. The Full-Time Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations for Lac Seul Transit. In addition, the Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating routes, maintaining driver communication, assisting riders, and responding to service disruptions. Moreover, this position requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; furthermore, post-secondary training in administration, transportation, or logistics is an asset.
• In addition, candidates should bring previous experience in dispatch, transportation services, or customer service.
• Moreover, you must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Above all, stay calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Additionally, you should feel comfortable using scheduling software, radios, and standard office computer programs.
• For this reason, strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• You must hold a valid driver’s license and provide a Clean Driver’s Abstract.
• Occasionally, be available to work evenings or weekends for community events.
• Provide a Clean Driver’s Abstract that shows a history of safe driving.
• Hold a valid Class G driver’s license (Class B or C with air brakes counts as an asset).
• Finally, earn or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
