Job Summary

We are seeking full-time permanent heavy equipment operators to join our team in Atikokan!  The ideal candidates will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment such as log loaders and/or loaders with attachments – long forks, short forks, buckets. Moreover, Heavy Equipment Operators will load and unload lumber, kiln loading, finish lumber loading, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment such as log loaders and/or loaders with attachments – long forks, short forks, bucket
  • Conduct routine pre-trip inspections/ daily greasing to ensure optimal performance
  • Must be punctual and have good attendance
  • Furthermore, adherent to all health and safety policies
Requirements:
  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment, especially long forks, bucket, short forks, or log loaders is an asset however, we are open to hiring candidates who only have familiarity with heavy equipment and/or demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must have accommodation in Atikokan
  • Moreover, you must be able to communicate/listen efficiently in English
  • We include onsite training. As a result, this position doesn’t require travel.
Compensation:

$32.81 per hour, approximately 40 hrs per week with overtime availability, pension/benefits
