Dallan LP is hiring a full-time AZ Truck Driver in Thunder Bay, Ontario, advertised on the Northern Peak HR Consulting job board. This AZ Truck Driver position involves hauling rough lumber by flat deck trailer, transporting mill residuals such as dust, chips and bark using a chip van, and operating tri-axle dump trucks to haul waste materials throughout Thunder Bay and surrounding areas. Candidates must hold a valid AZ licence with a clean driving abstract, demonstrate strong safety awareness and communication skills, and be able to complete pre-trip inspections, follow MTO regulations, and safely secure lumber for transport. Previous log-hauling experience is considered an asset. Dallan LP offers wages of $34.49 per hour, overtime opportunities, a full benefits package including medical, dental, disability and life insurance, a defined contribution pension plan, and a safety allowance. All regular runs are local or within Northern Ontario.

FULL-TIME POSITION – Licensed AZ Truck Driver

COMPENSATION – $34.49 Per Hour, Pension and Benefits

The successful candidate will have overtime opportunities available for alternative runs; all runs are local or within Northern Ontario.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform pre-trip inspections, maintenance as required and report issues to immediate supervisor.
Adhere to all M.T.O. regulations including weight requirements.
Comply with all Safety Procedures, Policies and Programs.
Lastly, strap lumber for safe travel.

Qualifications:

Must have a valid AZ license with a clean abstract
Must be able to provide a criminal records check

Ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances such as weather or traffic.
