Summary:
Lac Seul is proud to announce the Transit Bus Driver for Lac Seul Transit. The Transit Bus Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of passengers along designated routes within the community. In addition, the Bus Driver assists passengers as needed, maintains a clean and safe vehicle environment, and provides excellent customer service. Drivers are also responsible for daily vehicle inspections and end-of-day cleaning.
Salary: $27.00 per hour
Term: Full-Time
Hours: 35 hours per week (flexible hours)
Location: Frenchman’s Head, Lac Seul, Ontario
Closing: Open until filled
Qualifications:
- Firstly, a Valid Class G Driver’s License with a Cleaning Driving Abstract
- First Aid Training, Health & Safety, WHMIS – training available if required.
- Previous experience driving large vehicles or passenger transport is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of the community and transit routes is an asset.
- Must be physically capable of performing required duties, including minor lifting and cleaning tasks.
- Punctual, reliable, and committed to safety.
- Ability to work occasional evenings/weekends for community events.
- Lastly, a First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
